My name is Douglas Banks. Photography and the Arts has been a passion of mine since I was a young shy boy. My interest in photography excelled my last few years of secondary school as the yearbook photographer. I had a fantastic art teacher who encouraged me to pursue my love for it and I haven’t looked back since. I have an interest in all photography genres, primarily “Focusing” on landscapes and wildlife.

I’m a Visual & Creative Arts College Graduate with a Major in Photography. Have been fortunate to receive a few Art Awards along the way, and humbled recognition for my photographic works. I’m truly inspired by the stunning beauty of the outdoors, spectacular landscapes that surround us, and the fascinating wildlife that inhabits them.

Imagine heading out for a drive with no particular place to go, turning down an old country road with anticipation of stumbling across that hidden gem. Maybe an old run down building overcome by dense vegetation surrounded by fall colors and electric blue sky. Or maybe a small pond with a Heron perched and ready to strike on its next meal, while an exact mirror image is being reflected off the glass like surface of the calm water.
